Will Australian TOR players get a free switch?

It was announced back in December of 2011 that Australia and New Zealand would indeed be getting the much loved MMORPG from Bioware Star Wars: The Old Republic sometime in march if all goes well and it has even been hinted that importers of the game may be given some option to change to a local server.
Stephen Reid  Senior, Online Community Manager made this post on the official community forums back in December:

"We can confirm that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be launching in Australia and New Zealand in the spring of 2012.

Right now we are targeting March 1st, but that could change as our number one priority is making sure that customers have a great service to play on.

For those of you who may have already imported the game, we will be investigating solutions to allow you to continue to play on a local server once they come online in March.

EDIT: As pointed out, southern hemisphere seasons are reversed! When we say 'Spring' you can substitute 'Q1/Q2 2012'. Apologies for that".

That news is rather old but as someone who finally decided to take the dip and import now rather than wait it is somewhat comforting, though from what I have seen so far playing on U.S servers does not seem to be a huge problem. If Bioware does decide to allow this for free TOR players here in the oceanic would certainly be grateful and may even forgive the fact that game was not released here simultaneously with North America.
